I love to eat outside. Picnics, barbecues, camp cooking.

Here, to hearten my northern hemisphere friends who are just coming into spring, are some photos from an Easter lunch we had at my friend Suzanne’s house. She has a beautiful rambling vegetable garden surrounded by flowers, a tyre swing, a treehouse. We had strong coffee, lemon tart, home made pizza. A happy day indeed.

I think I’m going to try to squeeze in a few more outdoor meals before things turn really icy here.

I love how Magnus sang me ‘round and round the garden like a teddy bear’ over and over today. Each time we got to the ‘one step, two step, tickle you under there part’ he thought it was more hilarious than the last. He was even playing that game with the puppies.I hope Magnus will still want to hang out with me when he’s bigger. Do you think I’ll be hip cool enough?
