clouds from the air

image

Because I don’t fly very often - it seems like an enormous, exciting treat. (I can understand why those who do it all the time find it wearisome, though. I was less entranced on the trip back.)

Here is a photo from out of the window of my most recent plane flight - my first in years.

I couldn’t stop gazing out at those clouds - they looked so solid, as if I could leap from the plane, land softly and run for miles on top of them.

Do you think this is what Antarctica looks like?

Thanks, Helen. I needed a lift and a view from on high. They’re like the clouds in the Dawn Treader Narnia book.

seeing pretty clouds from the plane are one of the bonuses of flying.  it is impossible not to revert to a state of childhood wonder and daydream of frolicking amongst the cotton wool!
