big boots, loud music and cups of tea on the back lawn
I was cleaning up a drawer the other day and I found these photos from about...1993? 1994? I thought you might find them amusing - they seem so of their time to me now.
First one is me being a poseur in my very 90s sunglasses, second one is friends Maria, Drew and Tania enjoying a bit of backyard dancing at one of our many grotty flats. (Remember when BIKE SHORTS were fashionable? Egads.)
Last one is Drew and me at a party. At a time when it was cool to look surly, I can only assume we are very drunk. Check out my attempts to look literary and hip. Heh.
We had good parties. No - great parties. And we ‘made our own fun’ in terrific ways. Aah - nostalgia.

I had a pair of sunglasses just like that too in the nineties and spiky short blonde hair...wild.
I’m thinking of getting beads and braids now I’m nearly finished my you know what thesis...and sparkly sandals and great big jewellery and ...going wild

oh I love seeing pictures from this era, DR martin combat boots with short skirts. pixie cut hair, dyed blue...sigh. too bad I was in primary and middle school when it all went down and missed out on all the fun. I listened to the music though, R.E.M, the cranberries, pearl jam, nirvana, smashing pumpkins etc.... i cranked it up load and felt things I didn’t yet understand.

i truly do miss a lot of my fashions/clothes from the late 80’s...sigh...I have some but somehow this good old body of mine won’t...er...fit. Happy day to you!
