Craft 2.0

image

Another great Craft 2.0! Martha and Sue did a great job.

Here is my stall, hastily snapped while the punters were streaming in at just after 10! (The craft fair started at 11.)

I was next to the lovely Dairne of Baibin/Cocoon and we had fun! I bought a thermos of coffee, she bought homemade carrot cake (divine!).

Fraser and I took the boys down this time, and Willoughby was a very sweet and helpful ‘shopkeeper.’ (Every time someone stopped to look at our stall he said loudly “That lady is looking at our dolls, Mum, do you think she’ll buy one?")

It was a fantastic line-up with all kinds of different stalls. I did a little shopping and a little swapping. I met the lovely Kate Fossage and caught up with Special K. And Sarah came to help out for a while - all in all it was a very social day. (Oh and apologies to the lovely lady who told me she read and enjoyed my blog - I wanted to chat more but I had a little shy-attack!)

Oh yeah, and I made a bit of cash, too, which was nice.

After a week of mad crafting, I ended up with 22 dolls! We came home with 4 left, so I thought that was pretty cool.

Here is the whole Kooky doll tribe, again hastily snapped on Friday night just before they were packed into a giant suitcase. Hence the ‘moody’ 11pm Friday night lighting. Oh how I wish I were more ‘zen’ and organised. I might post some close-ups through the week, and some pictures of the treasures I bought/swapped:

And here are some retro fabric cushions I made - again, please excuse the bad photo with the fruit bowl in it!

Thanks to everyone who bought something from me, all the lovely crafty girls, and most of all - thank you dear long-suffering and always supportive Fraser. You are a gem.

WOW COOL!!! so glad you had a great time and that you sold some beautiful things.  I am cheered by your colourful display, looking at all those quirky dolls, fabric cushions, skull pendants, and collage cards is like a dose of rainbow.

"Kooky” (no name as yet… parents are arguing) has pride of place among the ahem...Made in China stuffed animal crew on Baby’s dressing table. Finally a touch of class for the nursery.(Apart from Bunny and Pandy of course, who are still in love and currently residing in the bassinet as a decoy for Snoop Cat.)K says ‘hi’by the way…
Thank you. Thank you Thank you.
Lisa xxxx
PS Ask me to help out with your stall next time, you know I can sell sand to the people who have lots of sand. (I have a good attitude these days and won’t scare too many people off.)

Oooo I looove the dolls. I tried my hardest to get around and look at all the stalls but there were too many people. That’ll teach me for taking my time getting there!

Anyway, just another blog stalker smile
