flashback friday

I’m not sure where flashback friday originated, or what the rules are, but Kimberlee invited me to participate because she is curious to see some pictures of younger me.

I haven’t had a moment to copy some old photos yet, so for my first flash back, I thought I’d just skip back a little - two years, eight months ago - I’m about to pop pregnant - Magnus was born a couple of days after this photo - and my goofy husband got an enormous kick out of lying on the floor and taking what he called “moonscape” photos of my enormous belly. (And it really was enormous - by the end of this pregnancy I could barely walk any more!)

We took a lot of nude ones too, but I’ll spare you that!

I have such mixed feelings looking at this - nostalgia a little, relief a lot (it wasn’t that comfortable being this huge) and also disbelief - was that ME? Did I really carry these two little guys who live at my house in my BODY?? How truly weird. And how quickly the body forgets.

Gosh—I could flash a few like this and I’m not even pregnant!  ( o :

moonscape! ha. so supportive I can’t fathom what it is like to be pregnant.  So far I’ve gathered it’s awfully hard (the pain of the birth), and incredibly special.
