:ice tree:

image

Isn’t this beautiful? Fraser went tramping a coupla weeks ago and took this picture of an iced over tree up in the hills. He loves going tramping in snow and ice. I prefer not to be freezing when I am on a recreational walk, so was happy to stay home in front of the heater with the children.

Things that have made me laugh on YouTube lately:

-Last night’s episode of The Mighty Boosh, was my favourite so far - a classic! And yaay for youtube, because you too can enjoy both versions of the Bouncy Castle song. I’ve been singing this all morning:

“Bouncy Bouncy - shoes all in a line. Bouncy Bouncy - oh such a good time...everytime I bounce - I feel like I touch the skyyyyyy!”

-

I have played this song to innumerable friends on their birthdays for years and years now - I love Altered Images! And so I was very excited to find the video - which I’d never seen before. It is so delightfully 80s - I love Claire’s trilby-hat / huge earrings style, and that side-to-side 80s dancing. Gotta love it!

-

I love Leslie Hall - she was first famous for taking deeply weird photographs of herself wearing horrible hand-knitted ‘bedazzled’ jerseys she’d thrifted, as a fine arts student. And now she’s started making music! This is proof that chubby girls absolutely SHOULD wear skin-tight gold spandex - because she rocks it!

Favourite lyric:

“You’re looking hotter than a stick of hot glue / and I’m scrapbooking everything we do!” Aaaaah - craft satire - love it.

-

This is very sweet.

-

I have a thing for scissors (I know, weird - but so much of what I make depends on them!) so I liked this very much. Not so much funny, just nice.

-

And I’ve saved the best for last - THIS is deeply, deeply, deeply weird - & also very funny.

Enjoy! & do share any youtube goodness you’ve found lately. xx

Oh that makes me smile (I LOVE ALtered Images too). I have developed a new depression scoring test. I figure if you can laugh at LOLcats and/or find amusement on YouTube then you are probably ok and there’s hope. Some days the cats are the only thing worth getting up for.

OMG! I can’t believe I just watched the whole of that last one to see if it got any more disturbing! Lol smile

that is actually a specific kind of frost called hoary frost.  it makes the snow stick to the trees like that.
just a little knowledge from a Minnesota girl smile

We get hoar frost here too in parts of New Zealand (Central Otago) as well as “in the hills”

A small photo of the chubby girl in gold spandex is all I can see until I have the patience to download megabytes of a new version of Adobe, but from what I can see, these CRAZY links are gonna prompt me to do just that!

Haha - that last one was like a weird collaboration between say Borat and Bjork, in a Bollywood style (within the guidelines of being viewable by children). Thanks for perking me up on a very dull rainy day in Auckland! smile x
