Luck. I’m not having much of it this week.

Not a great week anyway - barely a thing ticked off the ‘to-do list’ and now two sick kids at home and a haggard old me after a night tending to a puking, coughing wee one.

I’m feeling a little strung out. I’m also feeling that twitchy feeling which writers get when they don’t currently have any work submitted anywhere. I need to do some printing and mailing - pronto pronto!

Still - Willo has been on a sorting/cleaning thing and we’ve cleaned out the art cupboard and the dress up box.

Magnus just amused me no end by leaning against the washing machine while it was on spin cycle and intoning “washing washing washing” and enjoying the tremble the vibrating machine made in his voice.

And coming up soon, I am off to Wellington for a couple of days immersed in the Readers and Writers Week - which I regard as ‘professional development’ rather than a ‘holiday’ - and as such am determined NOT feel my customary guilt at leaving the kids for two days.

Ok - Magnus is wiping his snotty nose on my skirt, so it must be time to stop rambling and re-start parenting.

My blog is turning into domestic lamentations, rather than happy, creative inspirations...but hopefully soon - when I get five minutes to myself again sometime - the good stuff will come back. smile

Did you know Lady Luck is for sale?  Just grab that 60k from the back of the couch and she’s yours to keep :D .

Sorry to hear you are in the “Land of Nasty Bodily Fluids”.  Hope all are on the mend already.
