the Buddha in the mirror

image

As you know if you’ve been reading for a while, I felt like I had something of a hard winter. I’ve felt out of control of several key areas of my life and things are much more chaotic than I’d like. I like peace, I like order, I like - at least I strive for- balance.

I’ve had a (mostly) lovely school holidays with the kids - with no paid work on I was able to focus on them and really enjoy them in a way I can’t when I’m stressed and over-committed. But next week a large amount of work is headed my way so I’ll be back to that crazy space for a while.

So…

I’m going to take a blogging break. I’m not sure how long for, but for at least as long as my next work cycle goes - which will be the next six weeks.

I feel deep in my gut and addled brain that the best place for me for the next wee while is at my desk doing my (paid and creative) work, or on the floor counting my breaths, and in arm’s reach of my children. That’s more than enough for one woman to cope with, I think.

Go well,

go well,

go well -

and I will see you at the start of the summer.

I check in on your blog now and again; I think you may have considered me a stalker when I wanted to mail you things from Texas because I never heard from you again...nonetheless, please return someday to the blogosphere because it is so lovely to read your pieces.  I wish dearly that I had children, but regardless, I always relate to your tales of the boys.  And your creative endeavors are much the same and create similar anxiety yet fulfillment in me....So, come back soon, lady! I also love that just as it is becoming crisp and cold and time for apples and soups here in Texas, it is apparently becoming summer for you....for some reason, that always excites my imagination!
Rock on, Kerri
